5K walk/run at Erickson Ranch
Support the Amador High School cross-country team at their annual 5k walk/run at Erickson Ranch.
Ratto Ranch wildflower walk
The public will have an opportunity to visit this historic private ranch and protected property. The Tuolumne County Land Trust and Mother Lode Land Trust are hosting the event which will showcase Table Mountain and other features on the 240 acre property. The unique wildflowers, vernal pools, and geology will be explored along with the ranch operations and film history. The event begins at 10 am at 10500 Ratto Road and will end at 3pm. Glen White and Jeff Tolhurst, from Columbia College will join other topic experts in guided tours of the property.
Come prepared for a moderate hike and the weather. Bring your camera, sturdy shoes (that may get wet), a lunch, water, and other needed personal items. Please carpool if possible, since parking is limited. There will be no charge for this family-friendly event, but donations are welcome. Please arrive before 10am for the registration and orientation.
Ratto Ranch is located about 2 miles from Sonora in the Shaws Flat area. Take Jamestown Rd. to Ratto Road. The ranch is at the end of the 1/2 mile paved road. Call 209.743.2033 with questions.
Poppy Pedal in Amador City
Join our friends at Amador Trials Stewardship on a bike ride to view and plant poppies in Amador City. This fun-filled cycling event winds through scenic trails and historic sites, offering routes for all skill levels. Don’t miss this chance to enjoy the outdoors, connect with fellow riders, and celebrate community. Decorated bike contest, a ride for everyone with spirited rides (~20mi) and family fun rides (~3mi), games, food and community fun in Amador City. RSVP required to ride, suggested rider donation is $10 (not required).

The Heritage Rose Garden is now certified wildlife habitat! Come stroll through the blooms on this special open garden day. Master Gardeners will be on hand to share tips on how to certify your garden as wildlife habitat through the National Wildlife Foundation.
Erickson Ranch Cleanup
Join us as we clean up the west side of Erickson Ranch. The west side of Erickson Ranch is not normally accessible to the public. However, we could use some help removing PVC pipe and other debris left over from a Caltrans mitigation project.
Please wear good shoes, long pants, long sleeves, and gloves. We would love to see you for a couple of hours or for the whole day!
The west side of Erickson Ranch is accessed from Sutter Ione Road. From Highway 49, take Sutter Ione Road west. There is a gate about 200 yard from the highway.
