Long Gulch Ranch

This site allows public access from dawn to dusk

Long Gulch Ranch Preserve is 576 acres in Groveland. It is adjacent to the Pine Mountain Lake subdivision and connects to Stanislaus National Forest. MLLT acquired the property in 2015 with funding from the Wildlife Conservation Board to preserve and enhance the function and value of the watershed, provide habitat for the great gray owl, and for continued recreational activities.

Long Gulch is open from dawn to dusk for passive recreational pursuits (motorized vehicles and hunting are not permitted). Some trails wander through the property, but not all are maintained. Please use caution when exploring the preserve. Take only pictures, leave only footprints!

MLLT has secured funding from CA Department of Conservation and Sierra Nevada Conservancy to expand the preserve by 319 acres. This acquisition will finalize later this year (2025).
